We are Mike & Dee Blaha and our "Green" business is a small family owned farm located on the west coast of central Florida. Our business, Best Buy Worms, is a division of our farm business, Rabbits, Etc. and grew as we began looking for more sales markets for our worms. We have over 10,000 square feet of worm beds and expanding to an additional 30,000 square feet in the near future. Although many are ground beds underneath our rabbit cages, we do raise worms in container beds as well.

Initially we stocked the "Eisenia Foetidas", a very popular composting worm from the Red Worm family for vermiculture, a natural fly control practice. For many years we sold to  a few wholesalers and harvested hundreds of pounds every week. Along the way we ventured into selling the "Eudrillus eugeniae", African Nightcrawlers, which are long, wiggly and prolific; as well as the "Pheretima Hawayanus", commonly known as the Hybrid Red Worm. Both worms are popular bait worms that do NOT require refrigeration. They are so popular that we have locals that drive two hours to get them from us!
