Initially we stocked the "Eisenia Foetidas", Red Worms, a very popular composting worm from
the Red Worm family, for a natural fly control- vermiculture. For many years
we sold to a few wholesalers and harvested hundreds of pounds every week.
The "Eisenia Foetidas" is a smaller red worm popular for composting. They are best known
for “staying put” as long as the conditions are right. The average size is 2-3” long, they have a dark red
sheen and a flat belly. Eisenias usually average 900-1000 worms per pound.
